A man in England will spend a decade behind bars for shooting his lover in the vagina during a bizarre “sexual fantasy with dreadful consequences,”a judge ruled this week.

David Jeffers, 47, mistakenly pulled the trigger of the loaded shotgun he stuck inside his mate during an ill-fated romp at a Manchester hotel in January, authorities said.

After frantically calling the Britannia Hotel’s reception desk to report that a woman had been shot, he then fled through a rear exit – leaving the 46-year-old victim bleeding from her bladder and female reproductive organs, The Telegraph reported.

The unidentified woman was rushed to a hospital, where she but survived but required extensive surgery.

It was revealed in court that the victim was in on the sexual fantasy and had invited Jeffers to the hotel. “I can’t sleep, so excited,” she had texted him days before the meet-up.

But at the hospital, she changed her tune – branding her lover a “bad man” who had tried to “blow her insides out,” police said.

Jeffers claimed to have found the antique shotgun – which prosecutors described as similar to a musket – inside the toilet of a pub at the Leeds train station, The Mirror reported. Police arrested him in Leeds two days after the episode.

Jeffers, who was sentenced Friday at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, had been charged with attempted murder but pleaded guilty to a lesser gun charge in exchange for 10 years in the slammer.

OUCH!! It is a miracle she survived. All I can think is the "musket" shotgun thing was NOT nearly as powerful as a modern 12 ga. shotgun, a modern 12 ga. or even a much smaller .410 would have been almost certainly fatal. A shotgun blast at point blank range to the abdomen is almost universally fatal, and from inside the vagina?! OMG that sounds painful, and I would guess that the "antique shotgun" must have had a very old and nearly a "dud" cartridge in it. Even a minimum load at point blank range is going to put a bunch of lead bb's right through any soft tissue.
