Castration Complications

I understand all surgeries pose risks, and anesthesia is risky itself due to the narrow therapeutic margin before it becomes lethal. Besides outlier complications such as those, are there any others in a surgical setting for castration? If I understand correctly, there is a very large artery that runs from the testicle to the heart and can induce heavy blood loss. When done by a professional, how much of a potential risk do situations such as these cause? The only other complication I can think of besides blood loss is post-surgery infection, possibly overlooking a heart attack but I'm unsure what could cause one under anesthesia.
