Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

It starts slow and talky but it has a good ending.

It's enjoyable.

The story is about one kid who doesn't know he's peculiar (gee that's original) and the day his grandfather dies, he begins a journey to a place in Scotland where his grandfather's love of his life is waiting from WW2.

So it turns out that the "home for Peculiar Children" is maintained in a time loop of a single day to protect the children from some dastardly villain.

It's fun and enjoyable to watch.

This isn't a movie where the world is going to end and vast forces must be summoned to save the entire planet.

It's smaller than that, thankfully...

It's just some madman who wants immortality and is going to perform human sacrifice to get it.

That's kinda refreshing.

There's been too many movies about the end of the world if the villain isn't defeated.
