I want to be castrated but I'm not trans.

I want to be castrated surgically so I can reduce the chances of getting prostate cancer and for t he calmness. I've heard Dr arnkof will do it without a letter. Should I get therapy before I do this? I've done all the reading on the side effects and I'm ok with all of them.

Look at the dr arnkof thread at the top of the Surgical Castration board for more info on him.

Are you fully clear on wanting to proceed with this? Do you think you'd be happier and healthier being castrated? That's the only two questions I asked myself when I decided I wanted to be castrated (though, have yet to be).

You are wrong if you think a castration is good for health. The prostate isn't cncerous from much T, it is more the upcoming E2 if you are older.

Castration is only a trick to stop all, but also regulate the T to higher normal level is a therapy with the same results. To lower E2 is the better way, if it is the only goal for you.

But, fo calmness, yes, it's good! ;)

I would like you to consider a 6 month to a year-long trial of chemical castration so you will get the first-hand knowledge of how you would live and cope if you were surgically castrated before you do something irreversible. An injection of Depo Provera every 3 weeks is not that expensive and may give you a wealth of knowledge.
