It's Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan, king of the Jungle.

And the movie misses none of the standard Tarzan plot points. It's more Edgar Rice Burroughs than the previous versions.

We meet Tarzan and Jane in London being invited to Africa by the King of Belgium. John Clayton, Earl of Greystoke and British Peer refuses.

Turns out, that the King of Belgium is going to put mercenaries in the Belgium Congo and rape the diamonds, ivory, slaves and whatever else he can squeeze out of it.

And so Tarzan returns. Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, and Djimon Hounsou show up. Also a host of flashbacks to Tarzan's history.

It's entertaining. It has enough action. It has enough vine swinging and apes and water buffaloes and crocodiles.

Alexander Skarsgard spent 5 to 6 months getting those abs and broad shoulders.

I just enjoyed the old "Tarzan Finds a Son", the classic.

So cheesy and so full of filler of zoo animals, bad special effects, and plenty of swimming scenes for filler, too.

Not to mention how racially insensitive!

Miles O'Keeffe in 1981's "Tarzan the Ape Man" directed by John Derek and Staring (really staring, honest, she acts, too) Bo Derek's left breast, and Bo Derek's right breast, and Bo Derek's legs and Bo Derek's adorable ass... Along with a panty sniffing Pan Troglodytes ... was one of themes inspiration films for soiled socks and hidden basement masturbations ever created for boys and men.

And don't get me started on the acting skills (or lack of them) of Miles O'Keeffe. This is a role where he really flexes those acting muscles with the greats of the stage and screen... (I even rolled my eyes as I typed that)

That was the "low" of Tarzan movies.
