Merry Friggin' Christmas

What did you get for Christmas?

Most of the county here got a 24 hour virus of some kind that filled up the local ER, including Godson1's 4 year old daughter.

The doctors were perplexed. I suspect a Typhoid Mary of some type spreading the bug at Wal-Mart.

What a Boxing Day celebration - hurling and explosive diarrhea, including fever and chills both all night long!

Next, I got myself a South Park DVD box set, and my DVD player promptly died. It turns itself off after a few minutes.

Boy, am I glad this is over with!

So how was your holiday?

A good dinner at my Niece's house which is exactly what I wanted.

Well I can sympathize about the virus because I've got a nasty cold. My wife gave me two sets of earrings (silver dolphins and gold butterflies), a Claddagh ring with my birthstone as the heart, a really nice sweater/blouse set, pair of leggings and she made me a set of butterfly pillowcases with pink trim.

Actually, I had a rather nice Christmas despite not getting any presents. I went downtown Christmas day and handed out $5 bills to the homeless until I ran out of them. They appreciated that $5 much more than any of my relatives, including my grandkids, would have appreciated a $100 present. One guy said, "Thanks, Man. No one ever did that before."

Good stuff and a good idea!

I had said I was going to do it, but when I saw some of them, I thought, "Do I really want to give them my money."

But giving it to a dirty, depressed looking individual who said, "Thanks, Man. No one has ever done that before," made me feel pretty damn good. People like him, ones that people look away from and avoid looking in the eye seem to be the ones that appreciate it the most. No one ever does anything for people like him.

I handed money out to a group of young homeless, and they appreciated it. One girl asked me if I needed any gloves because I wasn't wearing any, and they offered me a hit from their bong. I don't know how else I could have bought such good feelings for $5 a whack. Well worth the money.

I think come this weekend I'll do it again, but I'll need a bigger stock of $5 bills. I ran out.

I've been sick for a week. I spent Christmas at home, by myself, curled up under a blanket, watching B-movies all day.
