Hi all, I've recently begun a fiction based on the creation of the unsullied, nullified slave soldiers in the G.O.T. universe. It's the first mainstream media I've seen in which castration was so prominent, so as you can imagine I was rather struck by it. One change I've made is I have decided to set them as young adults. According to the books they are castrated and the manhoods burnt. They are also given a dog to raise after the cut, but I could alter it to involve animals. Would anyone like to request a particular means of demise for the poor unsullied? I'm trying to think of something suitably "game of thronesy" to make it more than something that happens to be set in the G.O.T. universe. There are also other instances in the same universe that may make for good fiction, so any other suggestions are welcome. Heads up, this will probably end up being a relatively gory fic in keeping with the show.

I love GOT but of course the books and the TV series can go only so far and no further. There's no problem with then having an adult eunuch who was castrated as a boy or an adult castrated as an adult. But they'd never actually show a kid who was a eunuch. That limits the story telling.

I may be proven wrong on this. I don't know if it's just internet stuff or if there's any truth to it. But I read that there might be other series that take place in the GOT universe and one idea is a prequel featuring a young male Varys.
