Hi I am young transsexual on a HRT for more than one year, having a very female apperance and are looking forward to get castrated. I want this to be done in Thailand but my research so far did not turn out very fruitful as they are first quite expensive i.e. about USD 3000 and secondly they also want me to present pschological evaluation from two different pschologist. Can anyone give me an information where I can get castrated for a reasonable price there and where I can get that pschological evaluation documents there. Preferrably of course I am looking for a clinic or surgeon who would do it straight away.

There is a doctor here in the United states, Dr. Mark Arnkoff, in the Detroit area (Farmington Hills, Michigan), by whom you can get the surgery for about $2000. U.S. dollars, and he does not require a psych letter.

From what I have read in reviews, you likely could take a flight into Detroit on a Friday and fly out as early as Monday, but considering your location distance and flight time, you may want to add a few days to your visit before flying home following surgery. Best wishes!

Your information is old, I believe he's up to $4000 US now.

This person is dealing with a couple of issues - 1. Financial, and 2. Age. They are 22 years old, so $3000 seems like a daunting amount and then you need airfare on top of that from their location to Thailand. Since they identify as female, she could probably get it done by Dr. Arnkoff, but she will need to save the money up for the airfare, the surgery cost, and staying in the US for up to a week. This will probably come to around US$6000/€5600 at current exchange. That is a lot of money for a 22 year-old to come up with unless they have a good support system that can help.

I hate to say it, but with the climate in Germany for such things, they may have to just start saving their money and wait until they have enough to come to the US. That could take a while, less time if the Euro improves against the dollar, but it's soft at the moment. Back in 2008 the same dollar amount would have been about €3800.

Are you MtE or MtF? If you are MtF, you shouldn't have any problems for your transition here in Germany.

Look guys I am going to spend my holidays anyway in Thailand and as Thailand is quite transgender friendly I prefer to have it done there. Going to the US certainly is not a valid alternative for me.

So any recommendation for Thailand and not US or Europe is welcome.

If you are really a german transgender, I either can't see why Thailand should be preferable. MtF transgender should have no problems here to achieve a surgery, health insurance will pay for it in most cases, too. But if you go to Thailand, you have to pay everything on your own.

There is a fairly well known doctor who has castrated hundreds of men and he cgarges $165. That is not a typo. He is not the best reputation doctor but he gets the job done. Google is your best friend. i believe its doctor Thap.
