Where do I even begin?

(Personal note: My cable provider - Comcast - has a new remote, new menu system on new cable boxes and a new modem. So looking around the "free movie" section, I clicked to read the description of the movie and hit the "watch" button instead.)

IRON SKY is a satire and a farce set in 2018 -- Be prepared for some broad farcical and satirical humor.

A new president (she looks like Sarah Palin (Sorry about that) and the USA has sent two astronauts to the dark side of the moon as a reelection ploy. The astronauts discover a hidden moonrise in the shape of a swastika that also has huge, huge, huge, Helium-3 supplies.

The astronaut who survives the first encounter is black and the Nazi's (yes, they survived and seemingly thrived on the dark side of the moon) turn him white and aryan. (I said it was a satire and a farce.)

They use the computing power of a cellphone to program their spaceships to attack earth. New York to be precise. and try to visit the President of the USA.

However, the handsome Nazi who will be Führer and his would be wife (who has strangely fallen in love with the now white but formally black astronaut.

Just to be fair to the Nazi's, the chief US scientist (A woman) falls in love with the handsome blond nazi.

There is a UN Council from hell. It seems that all the nations in space have weaponized their spaceships. The Nazi's come in giant dirigible shaped destroyers named Siegfried, Heinrich, and you get the idea. The giant, huge, monstrous Nazi dreadnought is named "Götterdämmerung" and it fires a weapon that can destroy the earth.

There's also a classroom of blonde children with Hitler haircuts.

There's also an Einstein look--like as the chief scientist.

Visually, it's an impressive movie. The story is a farce. At one point, about 5 to 10 minutes of Charlie Chaplin's THE GREAT DICTATOR is shown to survive with the Moon-Nazi's believing this was a tribute to Adolph Hitler...

It's a farce and a satire.

I was totally disappointed in this movie. I remember that in another thread here, I had mentioned the "Iron Sky" movie... it was the thread about "Orbiters and spaceships."

I wasn't thrilled by the movie either. Disappointed is a very good word.

The trailer was good but that's all that was good.

Your thread showed up at the bottom of the page:

and another thread:

Now they show up...

I am absolutely certain that I also mentioned this (really bad) movie in at least one other thread... I think "Ramses" had posted something, about threats or dangers to America, and I posted a link to the "Iron Sky" movie and pointed out that the greatest threat to America was clearly the moon Nazis that were coming in 2018.

I don't doubt it.

I can't seem to get the search engine working tonight.
