TRT to shut down my own T production?

Post by CastratedTomcat (imported) »

I've read, the exogenous supplement of T (e.g. androgel) shut down the own T production.

How long take it to shut down and after OFF, how long take it for the reboot?

I hope it needs longer to recover, so I could any days be without T and if needed for health I'll take T again.

Generally without T I feel me very ill... short breathing and so on, so androcur alone is not so really good for me. I also thinking about androcur and any days, if needed to use T as supplement. Could that work?

Its easyer to manage without balls I think. ;)

But I'm still not ready to lose both (at first only one).

From what I understand when you do a cycle of TRT your body does a bit (Lot) of self regulation.

Say you have just injected 100mg of testosterone cypionate per week your body will say "I don't need to produce testosterone right now" and will slowly shut down natural production.

This will result in shrinkage of the testis and over time normal levels of T may not be fully restored once you come off the stuff.

Usually natural production will cease after 6-8 weeks and may take months to get back to normal.

In your case you will have to live with the illness that low T will give you during this recovery time.

There is a good discussion covering this under the "Steroidology" website T.R.T replacement forum.

I hope this has given you some Idea as to how quick your body reacts to change in Testosterone levels.

I've had five shots, weekly, without skipping. My testicles have gone from 27-28mm (across the widest point of the short axis - the width) to 14-15. I discovered this a few days ago, after feeling less like dog shit than usual. Blood tests show that, for the first time in years, I'm within the usual range for my age bracket. It's …LINK TO A BANNED SITE WAS POSTED!a good first step in fixing my energy levels.

If there's a good answer to your question, please PM me with it, so I can inform my endocrinologist. :p

For me TRT was the way to go.

Firstly I fell all the better for it and also it has that pleasant side effect of ball shrinkage.

Once my natural T production has shut down (not far of it now) I should be able to manage my levels.

Will have to submit a blood test soon to see where I'm at.

I'm on TRT for 3 weeks now and no good feeling at time.

First 2 weeks I was using testogel and now since weekend I'm on testo injection.

First I have get ED and now, since 2 days it will be a little bit better, but the health is not so really good (short breath, nightsweat, hotflashes).

What time needs it to work and lift my levels and let me feel good?

Any suggestions?

The best advice I can give you is to stay with with your current injection cycle.

In 3 or 4 weeks from now (6 or 7 weeks onTRT) you should have a blood test to see if the therapy working and not causing any problems.

After this time your natural testosterone production would have practicaly shut down.

The blood test will be more acurate as a result of this and any adjustments can be made to the dosage if needed.

I think this will come out in the blood test but mention this to your consultant it could mean you have to take some more medication to combat these unwanted effects.I have read that high eastradiol (E2)will cause this.
