One more detail to all those who wanted Lactic acid information. You really really need to look hard at this option. It has been very painful, inconvieniant, costly, and endangering!!!!!! One might even say life threatening. In the long run of it all I am still having to go to Philly, and still going to pay the money. There is no easy way. So all in all stay away from lactic acid... Why do you think you still have to go to Philly?

If your testicular tissue is necrotic, then surely any urologist will remove it and it will be covered by medical insurance.

Since the acid seems to have eaten through your scrotum in places, I do not think it will be difficult to get the urologist to remove that as well.

Lastly, you overdid it a bit. You used a higher concentration of acid than recommended, and a higher volume of acid than necessary.

Again, I am not doubting that it was painful. But so far the experience you have described has been better than many how have used burdizzos, elastrators, or underground cutters.

However, obviously Dr. Kimmel is probably the best choice for anyone.

I can't tell you how touched I am by all of you caring so much. The reason I am even considering another surgeon Dr. Kimmel, is becasue I work at the largest hospital in Cleveland part time. The other major hospital has many nurse and doctor friends of mine. Now I live in a small community even thought it's a large city. I have a family friends 2 jobs own a business and have a reputation. Being a Eunuch is a wonderful thing, but I do not know how many people in my life will think it is. That is the reason that I chose to speak with Dr. Kimmel He's out of state and nobody will know me in Philly The other issue FYI is this Charts at hospitals travel like a wind. Nurses and Docs and secretaries and orderlies all like a good story to tell to share and to laugh about. I know again I work at the biggest and watch it happen al the time. scottie when i look at your posts my first thoughts are that i have never seen a man on such a mission . but than i have to stop and think of my self and i realise we are not that mutch diffrent except that i am married and i knew that if i castrated myself my wife would not under stand. now that i am on depo provera she finally under standes what i was going through all those years and i thank she would now support me. now i thank you are rite when you say you are going to philly. people gust do not under stand what we are going through and it is probley not worth all the gossip . i hope that you can finally get some closure on this . for now i thanke every member is pulling for you. and rember scottie you are amoung friends here and you are not alone .

Granted, castration is not as common as some surgeries. However, if it is performed in your local hospital by a qualified urologist it will be viewed as a medically necessary procedure.

Your friends and associates will either be unconcerned or sympathetic toward you because of your loss of something which they falsely value. Do you know any women who are scorned or who are viewed as "less of a woman" because of having a hysterectomy or a mastectomy which was medically required?

The only people who really matter are you and your wife or significant other (if you have one).

Be patient and let your doctor complete his tests so that he will refer you to the urologist for castration.
