Hello anybody tried Dr Thep in Bangkok. He advertises with prices of 5000 bath (125 US$) for castration. So far he has done over 500 men so he must have a lot of experience. But his reputation is not so good. How about other clinics in Thailand. Would they do it for non SRS patients. From Europe it is much easyer to fly to Thailand.

Somewhere I posted a link to a website recommending him. While he appears to be cheap, and have done many katoeys, there are questions regarding his credentials. It may be therefore that if all goes well you might be ok, and if anytihng goes unplanned, you would probably find yourself on your own. Seems good to be careful, but he is said to have done many with good results. I have no idea if he is still in business, but you probably could find out with some googling and asking. AFAIK, the SRS clinics would need a letter. You would need to inquire what sort of letter, and how much it would cost.

I sent a message to him via an email address I found on a web site ad a few months back but never received a reply of any type. Maybe he has all the work he can handle.

I don't know why I find him interesting. Maybe his prices, katoeys, or just his sheer persistence.

If I wanted to be castrated again, would I choose him? He would appear to do a fine job for a little over a hundred bucks, so maybe if I was broke.

I looked at the link a couple messages up, and I'd run from this guy. Horrid bedside manners.

I called Dr. Thep and for orchiectomy he requires a letter from a shrink. Where to get such a letter. Is it easy and are some shrinks easy to give it.

I think experience trumps credentials, if there is one person in the world with the most castration experience. It's someone who has performed hundreds of surgeries at cut prices as opposed to someone who is just trying to pay off their medical school debt.

The same reason why the average high school drop-out makes more money than the average college graduate.
