Testosterone replacement cost?

Does anybody know how to find a cheaper source of injectable testosterone than the local corner pharmacy? My insurance has failed to pay for necessary hormones, and I can't afford the cash price. My levels have been trending down from "low" to "none" over the last few years, but aren't yet low enough for my insurance to consider it "medically necessary", even though they also recommend taking the drugs. 🤕🥊

Anybody have alternate sources? Online pharmacies? Anything?

I have thirty different choices for estrogen, eight for progesterone, and none for testosterone.

Getting testosterone over the net, from what I've seen, is pretty near impossible. Perhaps some body builders have some sources they could hook you up with via PM. Otherwise, the CVS by me has T in a 10ml vial for about $65 - that's the best I've seen

Why is it so hard to obtain it in the first place?

To the OP: Try goldpharma.com - Mess of a site though they do deliver in a good time frame. Pay attention with what you're buying and have knowledge of the drugs beforehand. Know the different names it goes by as well. I am not responsible in any way with what you do on the site.

I was at $120/vial when I was cash pay. Got to have a prescription through. That works out to about $5-$6 per week at the rate I was prescribed.

In the U.S. Testosterone is a controlled substance akin to serious pain meds, Estrogen etc is not on the same list. --FLO--

So expensive in the US

It is about 10USD for a 10 amp box of 125mg/mL

That is the price we pay to the distributor. If I had to pay for the injection as well it is 30USD per week.

Your drugs are way too expensive in the US

Yes, because the cost to develop them is really high, and your governments control the price, unlike ours. So they let you have it for less money, then pass the costs on to the consumers in countries where those regulations do not exist.

My urologist wrote me for two shots a month. Then my endo doubled that to one a week. But she still only wrote for a month at a time, so
krone1000 (imported) wrote: Thu Aug 04, 2016 6:21 pm this month is going to cost about $110. D:

ible in any way with what you do on the site. It's a controlled substance, because steroid abuse is a thing. While I can get cheap generic estrogen for ¢30 a dose, it's about $25 for testosterone while my insurance fucks me. I already know my drug and my dosage; I have a prescription. But to get it
Uncle Flo (imported) wrote: Fri Aug 05, 2016 11:17 am cheap, I'd have to go to Dragon Pharma at about 5.5 euro an ampuole, made in an underground UK lab.

To get a discounted price.Actually, those prices are for 10 mL - 2.5 months - and are pretty good, but I'd have to get written for more than a month at a time. That Walgreens price is better than the shady online pharmacy, even! Which is good - GoldPharma doesn't seem to have any androgens in stock right now.

I mean, in the long run, I know one good way to get my natural testosterone level low enough to force the insurance company's hand… it involves a physician using the words "excisional biopsy" and I bet that's probably covered…

A follow-up: The cheapest source I've found is Costco pharmacy. (Everything's cheaper when you buy in bulk!) It comes to $5.5 a week. Pellets are half to a third the cost of my current source, and I'm inclined to try them once before I blow it off. (They're cracked up to being much better - more stable, and you feel better, too)

I could actually save a few bucks by having my urologist give me the shot, since it'd only be the copayment for the doctor visit, and ¢14 for the shot itself. This is about a $6 reduction in my out of pocket price for the week. :shakemitk Ironically, this would be dramatically more expensive for my insurance - a fivefold increase in their costs compared to paying for ampules.
