There is a new reporter making the rounds, be cautious my nullo/modified brothers!

My nullo surgeon reached out to me and asked if I was interested in partaking in an interview/documentary about nullos, being undertaken by a person at Dow Jones media. I asked him to send me the information from the person who contacted him and did a bit of research. After researching this person and their organization, my advice is if you're modified/Male-to-Eunuch/otherwise serious about these modifications - RUN! Do not engage this person. I outlined a couple reasons in my response to my surgeon, shown below.
Of course, everyone is free to speak to whomever they wish. If you do speak to her, don't come back here saying you were not warned when the next hatchet piece on Male-to-eunuch comes out and you're part of it. I only have one thing to say to that - Bart Blasingame and Details Magazine 2006.
Hi Doctor,
I took some time to investigate Masha and the company she represents and I have to say I'm underwhelmed and will be declining to partake in the interview process. This will also be my recommendation for anyone else in my position. There are several reasons for this. First, while her parent company is legitimate, the first clue this is an ill-advised idea for us to partake, is she presents herself as being part of Dow Jones (a legitimate organization), but her job title is Content Editor: Heat Street.
I looked up Heat Street and it is, for lack of better words, an online tabloid. It is also very conservative, and while everyone is entitled to their beliefs, these publications and those who represent them tend to be hostile towards the LGBTQ community. After various experiences in the past, most significantly by a writer named Bart Blasingame who wrote an article for Details magazine 10 years ago, The community of male-to-eunuchs is very distrustful of the media. In Mr. Blasingame's case, he took quotations severely out of context, and overall wrote up a hatchet piece on folks like us by writing an article that amounted to, "Look at the freaks!"
That experience, combined with the conservative cause she represents generally being hostile towards our community, I think she will have a rather tall fence to get over with any of us.
Unless any publicity is good publicity, I would decline granting an interview if I were in your position.
Sincerely,
--LT
