Male gender identity with a desire for nullification Vs. Eunuch gender identity

"Male to Eunuch" GID: I just finished completing the Survey Monkey survey for Eunuch Wannabes. (This is certainly not the correct name for the survey. I have forgotten what it was called.) I was struck when I got to the question about my gender identity -- Male, Female, Eunuch, etc.. I then reviewed my EA Profile, and I realized that the same options were offered there. Now I'm a bit puzzled. Is there a definable difference between having a Male gender identity but wanting to lose my genitalia and having a Eunuch gender identity?
In my case, this question is complicated by the fact that I have undoubted and confirmed BIID. As noted in my recent "introduction" I mentioned that I am now 5 1/2 years post voluntary right above knee amputation. I find that my desire to be nullified seems to be quite similar to my desire to have my leg amputated. As a newly pubertal 13 year old, I found that I didn't like the look of adult male genitalia. (I didn't like female genitalia, either.) And I really didn't like the overwhelming sexual urges of teenage life. Ever since, I have fantasized that I had been castrated. I used to imagine ways in which my (now adult) penis could be made small like it was when I was a boy, and retrieving my boyish voice. Getting rid of the balls and the hair was easier for me to imagine. I have pushed my balls up into my inguinal canals and pushed my penis inside to imagine them gone. I even sewed up my "reduced" boyhood on one occasion, though that didn't work very well. Ever since (and I am now 78) I have "tucked" my "stuff" in, more recently using a gaff. I really like the photos that I have found of nullified men and find myself envying those that have achieved this goal.
On the other hand, I have had a happy and fulfilling life as a male. I am a (now retired) professional, have been happily married for 55 years, had three children, and now grandchildren. I would not give them away for anything. I was an excellent boy soprano, but now I have a deep second base voice, and I love to sing the base line in part singing. I am a pretty calm and tolerant man without anger or rage problems, and I am known as a good mediator and group leader. But I don't believe that a male gender identity implies being a "super-macho" or whatever. (Perhaps the only 'non-male-macho" characteristic is that I find professional athletics boring.) I work in a heavily mathematical and technical world, which, of course, says nothing about gender or gender identity, but which is usually associated with maleness.
So I discover that I am a happy male with a clear MALE gender identity. (No interest at all in becoming a woman.) But I want to get rid of my male genitalia. Is this different from having a Eunuch gender identity? If so, what characterizes a Eunuch gender identity? I'm confused.

We are limited in what we can ask. The limits are off in what you feel, think, or do. You tell us, and we will go from there/

Thanks, Kristoff. My confusion is not about what I think or feel for myself. I am confused, though, about what others mean by a "Eunuch gender identity." Is it something different from or in additional to wanting to be rid of one's genitals? I suppose that this means different things for different people -- and in particular, for different eunuchs or eunuch wannabes. I'd like to understand what others mean by this term -- in particular, what things in addition to just wanting the genitals to be gone. Is there a "eunuch personality"? Other things that characterize the "eunuch gender identity"?

" If there is something that I can say about myself that will help others understand my question, I'll certainly try to be open. I have been pretty open, I think, over the last week since I "came out of the closet." I'm less "shy" than I was.

It is likely asked the way it is because the study is being conducted to help give medical professionals the documentation they need to treat us. For our purposes it will be a male-to-eunuch gender dysphoria. This will cover Penectomy, castration, or complete nullification of the male genitals. On my therapist letter to my surgeon I was identified as a male-to-eunuch, gender non-conforming, person. It also explicitly said I wished to have my surgery and remain male and not take on female secondary sex characteristics. My official diagnosis was gender dysphoria - not otherwise specified. With this diagnosis and letter, my surgeon performed my penectomy and scrotal skin excision (I had been previously castrated).
So don't worry too much about it. Get comfortable with the male-to-eunuch definition if you truly wish to become nullified by a legitimate surgeon.

Thanks, Losethem. This makes perfect sense to me. It reminds me of the debate whether BIID is an abnormality that should be listed in the DSM. There were those that said, "It's not a disease. It's a personal way of being not too different from being gay. And we have been working to get homosexuality removed from the list of pyschriatric abnormalities." But I used to argue that the gay person was free to be gay with no assistance from the medical world. But the patient with BIID (just like the person with GID) needed the help of medical practitioners. And at least in the US, medical practitioners need to have a diagnosis to treat us. So if we need Male-to-Eunuch Gender Dysphoria to be an entity, I am happy to be classified as "a person with Male-to-Eunuch Gender Dysphoria."
It sounds as though you and I share a common view of this. I wish to have my surgery, but "I wish to remain male." That is, I AM male, with no desire to "

take on female secondary sex characteristics.
" I just want to get rid of my genitalia. Thanks again. You have clarified this issue for me.

When I was getting ready for both my changes (castration first, finishing my nullo later) I found it a great help to speak with folks who had gone before me. I am happy to speak with those who sincerely desire to go through these physical changes in PM. Feel free to contact me there if you want to ask things you may not wish to on the public forums.

I'm very curious about the "Survey for Eunuch Wannabes" that you found on Survey Monkey. My colleagues and I are just preparing our third survey of the community to add to the many academic articles that we have published in medical and psychological journals in support of Male-to-Eunuch as a valid state that requires proper help. Our previous two surveys were posted in 2005 and 2008. They have resulted in 23 published papers. We have made quite a bit of progress in gaining acceptance for MtE, but hope to do more yet, especially for those with BIID.
If you can find the survey that you completed, I would like to know what it is and, especially, who is also doing work related to MtE. If it is a valid survey, maybe we can combine efforts to do even more to help.
In the meantime, we expect to have our survey complete and available on-line by the middle of August. Look for an announcement on Eunuch Central once it's ready.

It may be your survey. There can't be too many studying this issue.

Greetings, Jesus. Can you provide for us the references to your published articles? We can't look them up under "Jesus."

An amusing misreading - I was skimming the section on risks, and thought I saw "1-800-GET-CUT." That would have been awful convenient, but…
1: It's not a valid 800 number. (1-800-2-GET-CUT? 1-800-4-NEUTER? 1-800-GELDING? 1-800-GET-FIXD? I could go on all day!)
2: It's something else entirely, a self-harm emergency counselor. Laudable, certainly!
While mostly I posted to admit my silliness, I gotta wonder - how much would it cost to run an automated helpline to put someone into contact with a liberally-minded urologist?
