Some day, Mr. Wolf, you are going to be awakened to a front yard full of people with pitchforks and torches when all the subjects of your jests get together with a sufficient quantity of alcohol. Don't worry, we will hide you out. --FLO--

I imagine that day without the pitchforks and torches but with tiny plastic sacks of dog and cat poo ....

Is that the place where 'Men are Men' and the sheep are concerned?
Never been there, so I wouldn't know.

Minnesota (at least Duluth) - 9 months of winter and 3 months of tough sledding.
Hopefully Uncle Flo's crowd will hide me. I bet he has interesting friends to be around.

In Minnesota coldest I've seen is 42 degrees F below.
Hottest I've seen is 105 degrees F.
That is quite a spread for sledding.

In Arizona we have hot wheels seasonally. In Minnesota they have hot runners seasonally. Still makes for tough sledding.

I think any two adjacent states probably have favorite insults for their neighbors. When I grew up in Iowa, the saying was that Iowa would cede the southernmost tier of counties to Missouri to raise the average intelligence of both states. A friend in Colorado told me that the saying there is that the University of Nebraska's library burned down, destroying all three books, two of which hadn't even been colored in yet. I imagine Missouri and Nebraska have similar things to say about Iowa and Colorado.
Another example: Years ago, as I recall, Iowa's agriculture department declared the sunflower to be a noxious weed. Kansas (whose state flower is the sunflower) retaliated by declaring the goldfinch (Iowa's state bird) to be a pest.
