I've been passing around this article as the prime examples of inventions and marketing gone wild:

The winner of the "Most Disgusting Award" is a complete canned chicken. I'd rather starve than consume one of these.
The winner of the "I'm with stupid" award is "zero calorie water" ... (I'll bet it returned to the supermarket as "Gluten Free")
The looniest is the plastic bag you strap on your dog's butt to catch "the poo" ...

They do come up with some crazy stuff.
Remember the 'salad shooter', which Berkley Breathed popularized in "Bloom County" comics with the 'salad scooper' to clean up the mess.

I can just see the reactions now on the "Shark Tank." Cannot wait for Mr. Wonderful's reaction.

And Opus ducked the delivery of several thousand salad shooters and sent them back in shame.
YAY!
Opus is The Man!

Last Christmas I gave a relative "The Popup Book of The Walking Dead"
It was fun. It was a more popular than the Lady Gaga Singing Toothbrush.
But not as much fun as a 10 inch toy helicopter.
There's also a Popup Book of Nightmares and a Popup Book of Sex.
I own the Popup Book of Salvador Dali (what does that say about me?)
I'd put links but shipping would be a real bitch for you from Amazon US.
