Star Wars - The Force ReAwakens

Yes, I really did watch STAR WARS: The Force Awakens

It's entertaining but it's the same movie as the original Star Wars.

It's got better chases. Bigger effects. A "death planet" rather than merely a giant spaceship.

Lots and lots of inside jokes and hidden references to movies.

It's fun to see the second and third times because you miss so much the first time.

And I still consider Jar Jar Binks an offense to the human race and any creature living or dead with more than 6 active braincells.

I also watched it, and I'd echo pretty much everything you said. Plot is very similar to the original (aka "Episode 4 : A New Hope"), but still a good movie and worth seeing if you like this genre.

I was a little upset by what they did with one of the main characters towards the end (being purposefully vague so as not to "spoil" it for those few people who haven't seen it yet).

Will be interesting to see what they do in future episodes.

I had other words for what they did to a main character. My opinion of that isn't nice, just rather vulgar because to me, it came across as false and manipulative. It falls under the phrase "read it, seen it, and about 400 years B.C.E." ... they aren't good enough writers to make that crap work."

The pace of the movie borders on frantic. That's why I said it was better the second time through because a person could listen to all the banter and catch the jokes. There's a ton of references to the previous movies. There's also inside jokes like "jib-jab"...

FURY ROAD did that to me, too. I rented it and sat through half the movie saying to myself "What the hell is happening?" Then is started to make sense. Fury Road is a fitting successor to the Mad Max trilogy.

The Force Awakens is entertaining.

Perhaps now that Disney has took over the franchise they may be able to buy a couple of RS232 leads so the robots can comunicate silently to one another (No more camp voices and irritating bleeps).

BTW i want one of those crossbow things they are cool.

I think this might be nearest thing available unless you modify a real crossbow ...

"Star Wars Nerf Episode VII Chewbacca Bowcaster"

Search Amazon and take a look. (Read the reviews. They are mixed.)

It's not quite the same thing in The Force Awakens but very close.

Do these come with the round cannonball things that do a lot of damage?🔨

The film itself was better than I was expecting (However my expectations were low)

They are NERF toys. NERF toys never do damage unless a kid sticks their hand in the box and punches little billy in the head (either head).

Daaaaaave! Don't be so boring! It's supposed to be fantasy. My boss and I watched the movie in that 4D cinema...3D, the chairs shake, forest, smoke and other smells, water sprays in your face and strobe lights flash inside the cinema during explosions and certain light saber flashes...BRILLIANT!! Yes, I agree with you about the First Movie (1977), but it's all about fun and entertainment. I am a HUGE Star Wars fan. I purchased the DVD and you are correct. The second time I watched it I kept telling myself..."I don't remember this and that scene"...quite a few times.

Still, the movie is brilliantly made...I will dare to say better than Lucas would do it, but that is mostly because special effects got better.

The planets look real. The exploding planets look MUCH more real than before. Remember when the Death Star and the planet exploded in the first movie...a ball of flame, some sparkles and an expanding ring...very unreal.

The chases ARE amazing. The Mellennium Falcon did amazing moves especially those close to the ground scenes. I thin, generally, Brittish actors are (generally) better than American actors...my opinion, although there are many American actors I like a lot. I don't really like the actor who portrayed Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill)...never really did. I love that kid young and older who portrayed Anakin Skywalker...very cute.

I have watched the movie now 3 nights after each other and jut keep on liking it more and more. I cannot wait to see the other future movies!

These kind of movies are not for those who are realists. My brother don't like Science Fiction movies but rather autobiographical and historical movies...that's REAL!

As a musician, I appreciate creativity and John Williams is incredible as usual, although I did not like his bridge passage when the first End Titles appeared at the end of the movie. Maybe he was angry with his wife? :-)

I suppose everybody have the right to like and dislike what they want. ;-)

It is fun to watch and it is an enjoyable movie.

I just don't like the entire franchise as much as the fan-boys do. So I pick it to pieces as I watch.
