Post by Frida G Cavic (imported) »

Now that my testosterone is in castrate levels, and I´m not in HRT, well, just a bit of oestrogens, lossing weight is very difficult I´m walking 1 hour daily but lastly I have cravings for ice-creams and chocolates, I´m moddy, anxious, and with hot flushes such genuine of a menopasual woman!.Unfortunately I can not increase my oestradiol levels for now until my prolactinoma be under control . when I was on oestradiol injections I have no hot flushes and my moods were most in control and my shapes were so feminine. Now I´m whithout HRT I´ve lost muscle and gain fat . I´ve just tried the diet restricted one day on what I eating and the other day eat "normal" that I wached in a documentary

my weight is a steady78kg and I´m 1.59cm in height. my weight was 69kg originally

wish you the best

Hi Frida,

I am not on any special diet. What I found helpful for me is to weight myself every morning (after the washroom, before breakfast), this way I can see what to do for today, either eat less or exercise more in order to drop or maintain my weight. If you overeat one day, you would have to fight back for four or five days in order to bring your weight back. It is not perfect but… this is what I do. I lost 16 kilograms with this method. I hope it helps! 🤗

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to losing weight and keeping it off is the hidden garbage in ready-made foods.

Almost everything you buy contains sugar, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, and a raft of other hidden sugars and ingredients that only increase cravings.

If you're not buying fresh produce and meats, you've probably got a whole cabinet full of foodstuffs that claim to be healthy, and are NOT.

What worked for me was trying to eat near the same time each day. Moderate exercise - walks, hikes, and yard work. Elimination of processed junk. Mac'n'cheese in a blue box isn't an ideal choice. Evening nibbling and snacking also has to go. I'm not a big fan of breakfast, either, as blood sugars are generally higher in the morning from your liver dumping stored glucose overnight.

For me, eliminating milk (not cheese), bread (and all wheat flour products), and added sugars was key. As far as low carb, I eat "lower" carb.

I still eat things like carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, beans ... in fresh form. About once a week I'll indulge in a treat, but only if I've got some kind of high energy activity to do.

As far as meat, if you can afford it, my advice is to embrace the fat and forget this high-fiber bullshit and anything marketed as "healthy".

And if you like salads, beware of dressings - they're usually loaded with added sugar. Read the labels, or make your own from olive oil, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, and spices.

Blue Cheese and Ranch are, by recipe, generally the lowest carb/sugar ones out there.

Low-carb. Also paleo.

I used to weigh 286 lbs, I now weigh 203 lbs, and I've kept it down there pretty consistently by using a variation of Tim Ferris's "Slow-Carb" diet from "The 4-Hour Body," and I sort of mixed that with the Paleo diet because I like fruit.

Basically, ditch the carbs... beans, cottage cheese, low-GI fruit, and nuts are the only cabs allowed. You can have one "junk day" per week where you can eat anything, but the entire rest of the week, no carbs.

It works. REALLY well. I was 270 lbs when I got testosterone out of my system, I've cheated like crazy because my willpower sucks, bouncing back up by 20 lbs several times when I lost willpower for whatever reason, and yet every single time I've stuck to the diet the weight has just melted off.

Give it a try!

Eating beans of whatever kind with your meal is one of the best ways to maintain a lean weight (or half way in my case), I think. -Not the refried beans too much but the whole beans (cooked of course). People used to eat them at least two or three times a day, as part of their breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND supper. They never seemed to have diabetes or heart problems or to become obese.
