One of the most interesting things that I noticed about this wonderful movie was the person who ended up being the villain. Dawn Bellwether.
Interesting because a Wether is a castrated sheep or goat. perhaps a closet castratrix.

I politely disagree:

apart from pushing the message of inclusiveness a bit too hard, an exceptional film.

I would think the term would refer to the sheep in question. if it had been made into a Wether, and you put a bell on it, would it not be the Bellwether?

The Dutch word for Bellwether is Belhamel. A hamel is a castrated ram.
A belhamel is:
1) a ram that wears a bell and is followed by the flock.
2) the leader of a troop of mutineers or evildoers.
3) a rowdy boy, a rascal, a villain.

Thanks for that one. Now I don't have to bother watching it.

It is worth it just to see one of the lines being delivered by one of the characters, kind of an anti disney sentiment in a disney film. there are a hoard of easter eggs and references to other movies and actors. I will not mention them, but encourage you to go see it just to see how many you can catch yourself.

I have a Little (Big Bro Big Sis) who is about 10, so I end up seeing a fair number of movies for the younger set with him. Most of them i about nod off. I find them with boring, predictable plots which are only a means to show lots of action and noise with no redeeming value. I actually found myself appreciating Zootopia and laughed at the whole department of motor vehicle scene and, of course, the very last roll-down-the-window.

Been interesting if she was. It would have made her more frightening and dangerous. Particularly for Nick. Imagine if there was a moment were Judy is presumed dead and Nick is strapped down ready to be snipped by Bellwether. Could also explain why here minions obey her, when half are psychos.
