I saw Plan 9 From Outer Space late one Saturday night. It's every bit as awful as a movie can be and Seinfeld was correct -- this is "plan 9" we now know why the first eight plans failed. . .
FLASH GORDON is fun for several reasons -- a) it's a comic book. b) QUEEN wrote the music. c) Ming The Magnificent is my hero (wink, wink)
My candidate for worst movie that has to be seen by human eyes -- LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM. Seldom do actors admit that they thought a movie was the end of their career. That's how bad it is...
I remember watching the original B&W version of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and asking the other people in the room if it was really meant to be a comedy. Did any of you know that Jack Nicholson was in it? He was eaten by Audrey. Dramatically.
CALIGULA (1979) -- take my word for it. If the castration scene doesn't revolt you, possibly the fist F***ing scene will.
I can add PROMETHEUS which was populated by not only stupid characters with enigmatic motives and a really stupid plot. Greed doesn't have taste, wit, or writing ability.
And one for the road -- an all time favorite pile of horse manure -- that awful movie version of THE LAST AIRBENDER. This movie is what 1000 chimpanzees would write in several millennia. The cartoon series is almost Shakespearean by comparison.
