I rather like this hypothetical "what if" look into a future 6th grader's textbook.
It's a nice, short read, with plenty of history and plenty of ideas for future writers!
Imagine a future where being a eunuch is perfectly the norm:

This is an interesting and enjoyable story. However I believe that any society past, present or future, will have malcontents. Societies will always have people who oppose the status quo and want to change it. Call them subversives, troublemakers, or radicals, it really all comes down to the same thing. You can't make everyone happy. What I think would be even more interesting would be the propaganda produced by the underground, the opposition, on such a world. Imagine two boys who are soon to be castrated reading banned writings on the joys of being intact. What would their reaction be?

As a devout contrarian, I like your idea of creating a bit of underground subversive literature in opposition to the status quo in a society that accepts/encourages castration for boys. I hope that the idea is now percolating in your mind and that we will see your contribution soon. I think that it would be great fun to read, especially in the context of Eunuch Archive fiction.

I think a society where everyone agrees that castration is bad is boring. But a society where everyone is in agreement that castration is a good thing is also sort of tedious. The stories that are most interesting are the ones that have characters who are honest but flawed and are trying to shake things up a bit.

I'd imagine DVD's of porn flicks (all genres) showing up in boys' lockers or packs at school.
Flyers on poles, or put up on walls around town.
Perhaps even boys temporarily abducted, given a talking to by the "malcontents", or even persuaded to fool around a bit.
Of course, this would probably have to be set in a time where castration is optional, but certainly catching on. The Resistance is doing everything it can to persuade people that it shouldn't be mandatory. Perhaps in a period where a very large percentage of those polled favor castration now, or other male-to-whatever surgeries, all to avoid the evils of testosterone, which is slated for a vote to be labeled a controlled substance.
Picture the scene:
Two boys are sitting in the waiting room of the doctors' office. One is looking at a magazine about performance cars, glancing around the room now and then. He spies a smaller boy coming in, taking a seat near the aquarium, where he just sits quietly, staring at the fish for a bit. He then picks up an 8.5x11" glossy pamphlet, and begins reading it, looking nervous. The other boy hobbles over, using one crutch, his ankle in a bulky air-cast device.
"Hey! What'cha in for?" The older boy asks.
The small boy blushes. He quickly drops the pamphlet on neutering, hoping his peer hasn't seen it.
But he has.
"M-my mom thinks I should..." He stammers, staring at the boy's ankle. "What happened to you?"
The older boy smiles, proud of his injury. "Jumped my bike over at Dalton's Corner, you know, the big hill? We set up a ramp, and I kinda crashed." He proudly shows off his healing 'road rash' on his knee and elbow, as well as the butterfly bandage on his forehead. He then makes a face. "Don't tell me you're gonna let 'em prick your balls, or whatever?" He looks in disgust at the pamphlet, "You know what happens to you, if they do?"
"No, not really?" The smaller boy replies, "Just that it makes you a better boy, and you're not a bother with girls, or anything? Mom says..."
"Your mom just wants to neuter you like the family dog!" The wounded boy interrupts, looking at the pamphlet in disgust, "You know what they do? Page 1, the most common way - the easiest, it says. No blood? Two shots. You like shots, kid? Two shots to the balls, and they turn into moosh and then just dry up!"
The conversation goes on, until the smaller boy's mother comes over. She isn't happy with her son's new acquaintance.
"Typical boy," She tells her son, "Look at him! Probably full of testosterone, engaging in reckless behavior, probably already doing things, staining his sheets..." She paused, blushing too.
"Damn right, Lady! Ain't nobody takin' my balls, or remodeling my bits so I can't use 'em!"
Someone can take it from here, I'm sure...
