Police in Kakata, Margibi County are investigating circumstances surrounding a 47-year old man, who reportedly cut-off his penis over the weekend.

Liberia News Agency Margibi correspondent, Richard Baysah, reported yesterday that Police Crime Services Division (CSD) in Kakata identified the victim as Napoleon Diggs, a resident of Lango Town, near the Booker Washington Institute.

An ongoing investigation has established that Diggs, a father of four (three boys and a girl), reportedly went missing late Saturday, but reappeared on Wednesday behaving abnormally, a family member told reporter Baysah.

According to the family member, when Diggs returned, he behaved “very abnormal. But the family soon discovered that he was experiencing excruciating pains in his groin and later realized that he had cut-off his private part completely.”

One account told LINA that Diggs had often complained of the “small size of his thing,” which he believed led to him losing many “good relationships” in the past.

Another narration said on the contrary, Diggs lost his newly found relationship with an 18-year old, fair in complexion lady (name withheld), “because she had complained of the huge-size of the thing he had.”

Whatever the matter is, the Diggs saga has become talk of the town in Kakata, where residents are now divided in opinions.

Police officers who were immediately contacted wasted no time and quickly brought the victim to the Kakata Police Station for further inquiry into the circumstances that led him to cut-off his penis.

In a brief interrogation, Diggs told police that he committed the act under the influence of “demonic powers” that overcame him.

“I am finished. They fought me, and I cannot get out,” he told police investigators as he cried in pain.

Diggs did not explain anything tangible apart from saying that he was under the influence of “demonic powers.” He remained in a state of confusion as onlookers and police officers speculated on his fate.

Meanwhile, photograph of the wound indicates that Diggs cut his entire penis leaving only the scrotum. He is referred at the C. H. Rennie Memorial Hospital in Kakata for further medical treatment as police continue to probe the incident.
