Help with story research - Sex after Castration.

Hi guys,
As some of you might have seen in the other forum section I'm currently putting together a story that I hope to post in the fiction archive. Surprise surprise it involves one or more characters being castrated, but unlike a lot of stories in the archive I plan to not end the story after that point. I plan to continue the story on from a new dynamic involving those who are castrated in the story line.
I want to have the story as accurate and believable as possible and it's here I'm hoping you can help me with that. Parts of the story will involve one of the main characters having occasional sex post-castration. Obviously this is something I have not experienced so my knowledge of the subject is very limited. With the former point in mind, I'm hoping some of you might be willing to share a thought or two, or help me get the facts straight for my story.
Any thoughts you might have on the subject really do help and will help to make the story as accurate as I can get.

For a wealth of research and personal experience-based info on sex after castration, I suggest consulting Dr. (PhD) Richard J. Wassersug's 2014 book written for men and their sexual partners, for whom the man's prostate cancer failed a primary cure and his recourse is to live without meaningful bodily testosterone. Such men become T-free by surgical removal of their testicles, shut-down of all their testicular T production by taking prescribed drugs, or smothering their T production with prescribed parenteral estrogen. The effects on sexual interest and sexual performance of this Androgen Deprivation Therapy ("ADT") is profound and is much the same regardless of the means of reducing T to the same low level that surgical castration obtains.
This 2014 book is described at "
http://www.amazon.com/Androgen-Deprivat ... 1936303663" (Amazon page linked (
http://www.amazon.com/Androgen-Deprivat ... 1936303663)) Following a posting by EA's "Jesus", I bought a copy in a hurry in fall 2014 to see what it has to say on ADT by parenteral estrogen. Alas, this book is rather guarded about alternatives to prevailing mainstream medical ADT knowledge, but is very readable as to the mainstream kind, plus patient guidance in great detail. Chapter 6 has 24 pages on Effects [of ADT] on Intimate Relationships and Sexuality. Six glowing reviews, all 5-star, in that Amazon page as of April 2015.
One reviewer wrote, My wife and I learned much of what's in this book through trial and error. If you have been smacked with a prostate cancer diagnosis and, while still reeling from the impact, have been told you need to start ADT, study this book. Take its recommendations to heart. Doing so can save you agony (physical and psychological) and allow [you] to deal with the life-altering side effects of ADT in a calm, organized manner. If you're soon to start ADT, or are already in its clutches, buy this book. It will improve the quality of your life. Honest.
See also this site (
http://www.lifeonadt.com/)for more on the book and a 1.5-hour video of retired university professor Dr Wassersug presenting much of the info to a gathering of ADT patients and their SOs:

Men on ADT vastly outnumber men castrated for all other reasons combined; up to 4% of all men living in prosperous countries will eventually end up on it long-term and functionally be eunuchs. Presently 1% surgically, 3% chemically, and a few by high-dose estradiol. Perhaps unlike your story characters, men on ADT will be mostly seniors in their 60s and older, when their sex lives will have slowed for other reasons including long-term effects of their earlier, cure-intended primary prostate cancer treatment which will have disabled their semen production plus degraded their erectile function and reduced their phallic dimensions some, each in a YMMV way.
Also search "Richard J. Wassersug" for published interviews, articles, and medical journal papers which address effects of ADT-instigated castration on sex life. He has been outspokenly un-closeted about himself being an ADT eunuch since his early 50s.

Woggler58 really nailed this topic, but just to throw in a personal POV, I was surgically castrated at 52. For a few weeks after the thrill of having gone through with it led me to masturbate to a climax daily. Then my erections became softer and harder to maintain; but mainly I found myself losing interest. There was less pleasure, less sensation in the experience. After six or seven weeks I lost interest in the whole thing. Eight years later, in the midst of a life crisis and feeling depressed, I got a shot of testosterone to see if it would help with my moods, and it did. I wasn't thinking at all about sex. I got a shot a month or so later, and a few days later had my first erection in years. I have been on replacement therapy since. I think my penis shrank a little, maybe ten percent, from disuse. Now at 66 I am getting what I think are simply age related declines in my performance. I can't be sure but I may very well be exactly where I would have been if I had never had the surgery. No way to know. The only time I was really aroused during those eight years was watching a Japanese movie, Woman of the Dunes. It's not porn--it's a high concept black and white art house film from the Fifties. But there was a seduction scene in that movie that gave me my only ogasm and erection during those years, and I wasn't even trying. It happened very suddenly almost by itself.
Good luck in your quest--so many of the stories end with the castration and don't explore what happens after, which is a shame.

Thanks Felixhelped for sharing your experience. As I mentioned above every perspective helps the accuracy and detail of the story and keeps it well within the bounds of reality.
How did you find the testerone shots, did the effect revert you back to a pre-castrated state for long?
In all those years since your castration, what do you think stands out the most about the experience

It depends on many things, I would say up to a couple week after castration depending on your testosterone levels yes and just like a vasectomy it takes some time for the sperm to be gone or just die, so you still can make babies. But after the testosterone levels drop your maleage may vary, with some able and many not, but most with HRT

Thank you but I am confused, after castration and perhaps healing there could for some weeks higher libido, erection, then before. After that Testosterons drops and libido drops significantally? Sex first possible and later perhaps only with hrt. Has somebody experience?

No the time starts when your castrated. Your testosterone level drops (and it's not a linear, 1/2 life curve) and after few days or longer, for most, hot flashs start. Testosterone will be long gone by the time your healed up. At that time most will not be able to get an erection but a few will still be able.

Means last penis in vagina sex before castration and perhaps after healing only on hrt. The ability for an erection decreased very fast. Would decrease libido same time or is there a whish to masturbate without effects?
