A significant percentage of middle-aged men who have been castrated and have let their motivations be known on this site did so in order to lower their libido to better match that of their spouses due to their sexual frustration. Even with the right dosage of TRT to maintain energy, health and well-being afterwards, one's sex drive becomes more under control. It will require one being monitored by a physician regularly to determine if one's amount TRT remains normal, as well as to watch other vital signs that sometimes are effected by too low or too high testosterone. The first step is to speak with your wife to let her know the reason of your desire and the possible consequences of such a decision. It should be a mutual agreement.

So far since my surgery I have been in excellent health and pyhsical condition and I have no regrets. Good luck to you however you decide to proceed!

When I first talked to my wife of 32 years about my diminishing testosterone levels and that testicle removal would make me a eunuch...she actually recoiled in horror. There might even have been a little shriek. I remember the exact reaction from the movies when the saucy heroine is confronted by the "creature". She wasn't sure she wanted to stay married. (that would have been ok with me, but not practical for either of us.). Just a word of caution...
