Is it a good idea or feasible to have a links index/thread for useful and scientific articles to collect, organize and maintain useful reference material?

One might be tempted to think that it would even be essential to such an august and authoritative body as EA?

Maybe classified links: scientific (maybe subdivided), fun, erotic, literary.....
