Happiness is...

Thirty-nine years ago today, on Saturday, Sept. 14, 1963 a very confused young man in eastern Canada married an Angel.
We are still marred. I think in many ways I have remained confused most of my life, but I have never doubted that I married an incredibly wonderful woman.
I will not be online very much today because our three children, their spouses and our three grandchildren are all descending upon us to celebrate our anniversary combined with Little Charlie's 4th birthday party.
Sometimes we something right, in spite of ourselves...

Thanks to all for your best wishes.
We had an incredible weekend. We have a daughter who lives about 25 miles away, a son who lives about 50 away, another daughter who lives about 150 miles away, Of course everyone is busy getting on with their own lives, so it is always special when we all converge at the same place and the same time.
We didn't do anything special really, just hung out together all weekend, but I am always humbled and gratified about how incredibly blessed I am... but with a wife like mine it would be tough to fail even if I wanted to.
As Dolly Parton once sang in a song, "She's a sparrow when she's broken, but she's an eagle when she flies!" And Rita ALWAYS FLIES!!!

Congratulations,
Sorry for the lateness in my post, just now getting caught up on all the posts since I have been on vacation.
Its so nice seeing people that get along and stick it out throught the good times and the bad times.
Matt.

Congrats on a marriage that actually lasted more than 3 months. Rather unique these days!
