hi i am a new member but i have been to this arhhive almost every night for a year.this forem has taught me a lot .i have been tring to lower my sex drive for years.by reading the posts on this forem i have started taking depo provera.i started with 150 mil first six weeks but now with docters care.we have changed it to150 mil every four weeks.this is the first time in forty years that i have felt so calm and this good.i finaly have control of my body not my body controling me.i wanted to post meassage so other men that are marride and thair wives would not approve of castration might be able to use this lower docage to lower thair sex drive.i am very thankful for all the advice the members have shaired.i am VERY VERY THANKFUL

Welcome. For the record, how did you persuade your doctor to prescribe you the Depo Provera? Many men have reported that their doctors are reluctant to prescribe this unless there is a medical need like prostate problems. Chemical castration, after all, can be almost as good as surgical castration, and perhaos easier to obtain.

And is your health insurance covering this, or must you pay out of your own pocket? (Which is why surgical castration may be cheaper in the long run.)

high Andrew the first thing i did was to order medication from ANAGEN.NET it came in about two weeks.i tried this on my own for two monthes than i took the advice from this archive to get blood work done through my doctor my docter has seen me probely ten times in the last ten years for infections becaus of un safe masterbation.at this time i asked for his help and his sympothy.he was very under standing and he told me he had to talk to his advisers after he got test resalts back.he just sent them to me my testosterone is at 126 normal for men my age is 291 to 999.he has oked this and told me i could have this prescription indefintely.yes my hmo is paying for this.again i want to thank this forum for all the advise thay give us.no other place on the internet talkes about the problems so many men like me have with our sex drive thair are so many men out thair who are crying for help and no one wants to listen but this archive .my wife dose not ever want to see the other me again synce i am so calm and i am a lot more caring .thank you all very mutch for all your help you are all in my thoughts

Interesting. So sag111's case, his doctor saw first-hand the obvious problems that his testosterone was causing him (10 incidents requiring medical attention due to unsafe masturbation). In this case, removing the desire to masturbate sounds like a very logical course of action.

I went a little different route with my castration by taking Androcur for a year before being castrated on 9/6. I know what you mean be being in control finally for the first time in your life and it is wonderful. I think its great that you have a Doctor that is on your side to help you and an HMO that pays for it. There may be hope yet.

I have been on DP for 8 months now, at 150mg every 4 weeks & I feel great. No more annoying sex drive. I have to pay for mine out-of-pocket, though.
