I am not quite sure how to introduce myself in particular. I would say that in the past 5 years, this extremely uncanny desire to be without my nuts has thoroughly embedded itself in my mind. There are a whole myriad of motivations for it. I tend to shoot down and invalidate most of my own motivations, though, since they're inherently hugely impractical. About half of them are sexual in nature. Given the nature of castration and its effect on hormone levels, it's a bit of a paradoxical desire of mine. I'm joining mainly to thoroughly read other people's experiences and stories. It went from having never crossed my mind years ago to thinking that I'd be much better in aesthetics (and other aspects) as a eunuch, removed from the gene pool, in a sense. I was frequently routed to this site, so I figured I should join!

Welcome! There are indeed a lot of experiences and opinions posted here. I see from your profile that you are under 30 and in your introduction that your interest in castration of began in your mid-twenties.
You may be interested in reading this older thread, in which many others tell of how they first became interested in men in general becoming castrated and later imagining it being done to themselves:
http://forums.eunuch.org/showthread.php ... castration
The initial awareness incidents take many forms but there seems to have been a latent inner interest in most all of us here to fancy someday becoming castrated ourselves.
In my case at age 26, the mere idea of castration happening to any man was instantly arousing. It took several more decades before I erotically saw myself as a candidate for it, for its symbolism and body modification, but not for its hormone consequences or any unhappiness at having testicles. In my 70s now, still-possible recurrence of my treated prostate cancer would force me into castration for its testosterone-elimination benefits and detriments.

Thanks for the information and for the support, everyone. I'll be reading quite a lot into it. Having met a few people who have gone through with it for reasons similar to my own, and their complete (open) lack of regret for doing it, my curiosity is certainly piqued.

Swishchee, I understand your building interest. I joined EA about 3 1/2 years ago due to my natural curiosity of just about anything with no intention of ever becoming a eunuch. I decided to attend MoM13 and met several eunuchs. I had no idea what to expect at this gathering but soon realized these were just a wide variety of normal folks with varied interests, not at all the stereotypical oddballs an unenlightened person might suspect to meet there. The more I learned and understood the more serious my interest became and I was surgically castrated a month ago. I have no regrets or experienced any unpleasant surprises as a result.
So Swishchee, hang around and continue learning. Don't be surprised if you ultimately find yourself getting castrated.
