Probably a question for Mark Zuckerberg. Maybe he's not aware that there are a fair number of eunuchs who want to be identified as such on Facebook.

In other webs There´s indeed three options: male female and unspecified. In facebook there´s only two? I don´t remember when I suscribed, but I selected female

Actually, Facebook's options are staggering.

Actually, there are 58 gender choices available. (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2 ... ook-users/)

The most obvious choices are Neither, Neutrois, or Other, but it's not out of the question to see them adding options for the gelded among us.

Perhaps you should write and ask them. I'd ask if they could add it, and I'd ask how they generated the list. Let them know this classification is being identified in medical literature recently (the DSM V), and that you'd like to see it added as you feel it fits. While I am an MtE nullo, I intend to identify as male on all such forms when asked, especially Facebook, as there are a great many people there who do not know I've had this surgery and I have no desire to fill them in as they will never see me naked.

I think this is a good point, LT.

Furthermore, why tell facebook or any other company your gender, especially if different from the binary male/female. They don't need to know! These companies already collect so much private data from people, analyse them and make money with it, so I feel absolutely no need to provide any special information to them voluntarily.

While I generally agree with you T van Keel, it only goes as far as I apply it to myself personally. I think every individual should be able to self-identify as they wish. Facebook could fix this with a simple "other" than a user could fill in themselves. Coding it in their software shouldn't be difficult for them.

I'm also female. Among those "58 choices" it all boils down to only two sexes and not to the three or more you would suppose it does if you notice. So I just kept mine as female after they had added those supposed other "58 choices".
