Bradley's Cure

Bradley's Cure (http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/B/ea_111024bradley_.htm)

I just wanted to be the first to thank Charlie for this great story! It's a bit of a departure from Charlie's usual epic style, but it's a fantastic story - well written, interesting, exciting, and the characters, as usual with Charlie, are well drawn.

This is just a GREAT story!

What an idea! A young eunuch race car driver ... perhaps this cure might do ol' Tony some good, punching out photographers indeed ...

WELL DONE, Charlieje!

I daresay I see a sequel coming!

Nothing extra to add, but felt I should just say thank you for such a well written, excellent, most enjoyable story.

Thanks so much, everyone!

As a bit of a postlog, I went to the Wake County Speedway Firday night, the last race of the season, and of course I stayed for the awards ceremony. I watched the hero of my story, Bradley McCaskill. as he was awarded a trophy that was only inches shorter than Bradley himself.

I met him, shook his hand, and got to tell him what an awesome driver I think he is. He told me if he can get a sponsor he is moving up to the Modified 4 next year... I can hardly wait. And who knows, there might be another story about this incredible kid next year.

I can see sequels coming:

Bradley hits NASCAR

Bradley in Daytona

Bradley at the Brickyard

Bradley Runs Down Gordon (did I say that?)

I've been in and out of town and far too busy, but I FINALLY had the time to settle in to read and enjoy a story by one of my favorite authors. Bradley's Cure is a great one. The characters seem real. Charlie tells the story so well that it all COULD be true. And, there's no way we're ever likely to know if it's a true story or not. Great job!

The real question is how many sequels to we get to this story? Do we get Bradley's school experience? Do we get some long scenes of Bradley and friends? Kara and Ashley, at least, but some male friends might also appear in non-sexual roles. (Well, there may be some situations of boys just being boys....) I certainly hope that we get to see Bradley in his next racing season (and many more seasons to come).

I'm more than a little late to this, but I wanted to voice my agreement: this story was really well-written and a joy to read. I felt immediately involved with the characters, and at each step could hardly wait to find out what happened next.

Another great job!
