Another MTE joins the club

Hi all. I'm MTE identified and met a few of you at the MoM in 2012. Just wanted to share the news that I was finally surgically castrated this week by a urologist in Seattle. She required a letter from my regular doc, who is awesome and supportive, and from a therapist. I got both of those in June. Had surgical consult in July. I'm in bed now with ice packs and pain meds. Can't feel much yet due to bulky dressing but I feel surprisingly good. Will post updates as recovery progresses. I'm thrilled to have finally joined the club. Many thanks to folks here who have been so supportive for so long as I made this journey. Today a new journey begins, and I feel wonderful.

Seattle, Washington. Up there in there in Emerald City, huh? I'm in Florida. It would take 48 hours and 18 minutes to get there by car from the school I'm at currently. Congratulations, keep us updated on how your doing. I'm very happy for you.

Congratulations Neithernor, I had to fly from Seattle to Detroit last winter to get neutered! Do you plan on taking T? My plans with the good Doc Mark were a bit abreviated as all the peices of the puzzle came together at the right time, money, time off work, with out too much notice, coupled with the ongoing awareness that this was to be my path and no more denial. Then there was the awesome date of 12/13/14 and a similiar sequence of numbers won't come around for a very very long time.(kidding just a coincidence). T free since then never to return unless medically necessary like osteoporosis. Calcium, D3 and diet and exercise.
