Ethinyloestradiol.

Post by devi (imported) »

For my HRT, I'm planning to convert from Estrin (conjugated estrogens) 0.625/2=0.3125mg 4Xweekly (which has always seemed abut right for me) to ethinyloestradiol 10/2=5mcg 4Xweekly. I do split pills though you're kind of not really supposed to. I was just wondering if anyone here has done that. It seems better that I do this.

5mcg ethinylestradiol 4 times a week? It´s very low. any way, stay away from It. I suggest you estradiol valerate 2mg daily.

Why would you take that when you can take estradiol which is much safer?

It's mainly for bone health and nothing more since osteoporosis does run in the family. There are a lot of simple little things that I do for the health of my bones such as putting a bone cut of meat into my beans whenever I make them and trying to eat plenty of greens, etc. So I also take some hormones since I know anecdotally that eunuchs in the past have done this and I was advised to do the same. (Yes, various types of estrogens have been around since forever though dosage wasn't precise until the modern age and people didn't know scientifically what exactly they were doing.) Anyway I'm pretty certain the dosage I'm taking right now is pretty true. I don't want to go into details too much but I think generally eunuchs need half as much as post-menopausal women and not the full amount due to an ability of the endocrine system, -mainly the pineal gland to produce more hormones -often "other" hormones and not necessarily "estrogen" for the necessary hormones that the body needs for healthy organs.
