I am chemically castrated with triptoreline for almost 3 years now and testosterone is almost 0. My last injection was 3 months ago so the testosterone level will increase again over the next 4-6 months. Can I expect puberty like symptoms like mood swings and acne?

It depends on if your testicles restart or have atrophied and will not restart

You have good chance that your testicles will never recover from 3 year chem castration. Long term chme castrations tend to become permanent for various reasons. But everyone is diffent. You may recover after a many months.

If you want to recover testicle function, you should take Clomid. Bodybuilders take it after heavy cycles of steriods that stop testicle function.

Otherwise, yes every time your hormone levels change you will go through similar things including acne, changes in mood, changes in body hair, etc.

I do have a question. I have not seen any where on this website, about the effects of having prostate cancer, and it has been removed. I have read a lot on this website about Chem and surgical Castration. I had to have my prostate removed, and now four months after, I am having side effects from it, This is where the doctors will not tell you about the side effects, One item is slit breast growth and sore. night sweets, penis has lost most of its length, Testicles are 50% smaller, and drawn up almost inside. I have not had any blood tests yet. I was wondering if any men out there have had this done. And how far from being castrated at this point is a person.Plus where can a person find info about this subject and the side effects.

The prostate isn't a major producer of hormones. Do you still have your testicles? Are you also taking chemical castration drugs?

You shouldn't be feeling hormonal effects from having prostate removed. The side effects of prostate removal are usually more physical, often result of damage done by improper technique. So things like difficulty controlling urination, or having nerves damaged such that you have erectile difficulty are common.

But no, the effects you're citing shouldn't happen simply from prostate removal.

What drugs does he have you on? What drugs did you take before the operation? For some just one dose of anti-androgens can shut down your testicles giving all of the effects you have reported. (this can very willy, ie your mileage may very)

Good evening; To Split and Mr.G Thank you for your reply. To start off, I was not on any Drugs before the surgery. After the surgery, I was doing, fine.up walking. At two weeks after the recovery, I came down with a Bad case of staff infection at the surgery site. That is when I started using antibiotics, that lasted for three weeks. At about two and half months after that, is when I started to notice things happening. At four months I have the urination problem almost controlled. Before that willy started to shrink to about half its size, and the two twins where getting smaller, and have drawn up close to my body. I do have now a slight breast growth and the left side is very sore. I know that the prostate removal is not part of any Hormonal change. I have not had any Blood tests, But I am going to see the Doctor, in a week. Will ask him about this. One of the items about this is the fact that Doctors will not tell you about some side effects, And yes each person is different. I was wondering if any other man on this site has had the same happenings. Also looking for any other site that will explain things about prostate removal, Maybe I am looking in the wrong sites

During the Staff infection did your testicles swell, hurt or bother you? The staff infection could of caused reduced blood flow to your testicles or damaged them??

Good luck

Good Morning; Mr G; At the time of my surgery, for about Seven or Eight days after, Both testicles where swollen, Because the Vas Deferens was cut from the prostate when removed. But the other end cut was when I had my vasectomy 30 years ago.

And as for when the staff infection occurred, no they did not. That is one thought I had should that be it. I have used the internet to try to find sites that have info, Maybe I am typing in the wrong pass words.

These things are not bugging me, But the night sweats are.
