my doctor and therapist are submitting their letter, recommending that i receive a bilateral orchiectomy as a first surgical step in addressing my gender identity dysphoria. Today, the surgeon's office set my consult for the first available date, on The morning of July 23rd! Also, this morning i took my final injection of testosterone (haven't made my own naturally in over three years) at only 50mg (1/4 the 1ml regular dose). Once this runs through my system, i will be testosterone-free! So VERY excited to be going forward!!

The surgical consultation went without a hitch. The urologist is completely on board with going forward. We talked about healing precautions (her one concern, since i'm a large person and this can create extra pressure on the wounded scrotum). She was happy with my history of eliminating testosterone and replacing it with low dose estrogen. She understood that (as i put it) i'd rather take a chain saw to my groin than reproduce ever again (i have children from a past marriage to a woman, before i came out of the closet, etc.). So all is good!
She ended by telling me that i should expect a call from her surgical scheduler, to set up the exact day and time for the procedure. i'm still waiting for his call, so i'm still anxious----i just want to get everything "set in stone" and know when it's happening!

That call will come sooner than you expect.

Once the doctor knew I was getting my letter for penectomy, I had a call within 48-hours to schedule my surgery. I could have been a nullo in April, but the timing in June was better for a variety of personal reasons.
Congrats! I know this is a long time coming for you.
