Do anti androgens combined with estrogen reduce androgens in the long run

Post by Heinrich (imported) »

This is something I can't find the answer to online so I was hoping someone here might know. The answer is probably online but I am not sure how to search for it.

Ok so I hope my questions is clear. I am wondering if one takes estrogen and anti androgens for let's say a year or more and then stops the anti androgens. Does that reduce the overall amount of androgens the body will produce? As opposed to only taking estrogen without any anti androgens.

Because anti androgens by themselves work until you stop them. And then all the effects they had reverse. But does taking estrogen along with anti androgens reduce the overall production of testosterone and androgens once you stop taking anti androgens?

Hope someone knows. Thanks.

It all depends on the anti-androgen and the way your body works.

For example some people taking androcaur use it for long periods, come of it and androgen production returns to normal (ish) levels in 3-6 months. In others it is greatly reduced.

It is the smae with depo provera and others. Your Mileage Will May Vary.

The only way to stop androgen production completely to castrate levels is to keep taking the drugs or get castrated. (Nice avatar!)

Thanks. I am castrated and started taking estrogen last week. The funny thing I noticed is that my voice is softer. I know that's rare and is not supposed to happen. But I've had it happen before. Like when I was put under general anesthesia the next day my voice was so soft the whole day. I really loved it. But then it went back to normal. Now the estrogen is making it soft again. I am just curious about my body and what it's doing. That's why I was wondering what would happen if I took anti androgens.

If anyone doesn't believe it I will make a video with my new softer voice. I can't control it. Starting to sound like a total vag.

You don't need to take anti-androgens anymore. If you want more feminisation then you need a proper hormone regime.
