It's been awhile since we've had so new stories. I've been writing but I always like to get feedback on stories before submitting the next installment.

As do I, but I've learned to live with lack of it.

I think you're typical of writers for the EA in wanting feedback before submitting anything further. Nobody gets paid to write for the EA. The only reward writers get is feedback from readers, especially sincere commendation. More positive reviews will tend to speed up story production. My hubby and I collaborated on two stories a few years back and got maybe three reviews total. We haven't been motivated to make the effort since. It's a lot of work to entertain three people.

Giving feedback is a double edge sword. You don't really want to hurt a writers feelings if the story is just not your cup of tea. So i tend to pass up commenting on those stories even though to some those maybe great stories. I do tend to post a nice comment if i liked the story. Usually i like a story to have an ending maybe 3 chapters at most.

Stories that go on and on tend to bore me. Just my opinion.

I really do understand. I tried my hand at writing a few short porn stories in other sites and didn't get any response either so i gave up. Maybe in time i might try writing one in here.

Why not run a poll and ask what people are looking for in the stories. Long ? Short ? Happy ending ? Sad/scary ending ? who does the cutting ? How much gets cut ? Realistic ?

Fantasy ? should sex be involved and/or how much ? age limits ?

You also have to keep in mind that sites like ASSTR and such are huge. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of their stories just get lost in the shuffle, or only turn up by keyword search.

So far they've all been good; keep on with the next installment, we'll get around to praising the previous one eventually.

I'll admit that I love reading positive reviews. But that wasn't what I was driving at. When writing a story that's part of an ongoing series I like the feedback for suggestions as to where to take the story and what parts of it are working best. In other words I want to know that I'm on the right track as opposed to jumping the track.

In any case, At the Cabin Part 7 has been submitted.
