I Hate Daylight Savings Time.
I Hate It
I Hate It
I Hate It. :realpisse
Yes I do, don't tell me I don't "hate" it.
I hated it as a kid, never believing the whole nation had to switch clocks for
Minnesota dairy farms.
I hate it today when we spend more of the year savings daylight than on our God Given Time.
I mean what is so very bad about some daylight before having to hustle to work or school?
Share your hate of DST.
Or your contrary.

So kids can get on the school bus in the dark for even longer.
So we can have daylight after 10PM in June here.
So the kids can have fits about going to bed when the sun is out.
So I can lose sleep having to "reset" the dogs.
And in Indiana, because former Goobernor Bitch Daniels made money off of it somehow...
Yes, A-1, go ahead and say it. Rant. Let it out here. You have my permission to say anything about that lop-eared goat-fucker that you want to.
Geeez, I wish someone would hunt that bastard down and kill him!

In Europe they always sayd DST is to save Energy, but studys show, that it doesn't do that. I think the only ones who still want it, are the owners of Beer Gardens, because they think people will stay longer in the evening, but they stay long till after dark anyway so i don't se the point.
At lest we still have three weeks (in Europe DST starts always on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October)

Shame on you. It is not nice to wish that on anybody.

Sometimes, exceptions ought to be made...

i complain about DST for about one day. Then I change the three clocks not attached to networks. After that, it's finished.

resetting most of the clocks is easy. But I always have to get the damn manual out to reset the one in the truck. Of course there are clocks just about everywhere and on everything. That's why I quit wearing a watch - got rid of them all.

But watch is on your hand, and for, say, cellphone, you have to reach in your pocket or bag. And everywhere they are incorrect. At least I can vouch for what is on my watch or phone. other clocks.... nope.
PS. Just don't fix DST Russian style:
-By imperial decree, I now order that we live on eternal DST!
Sysadmins grumble, and patch and hack. People grumble. Curses and bugs continue well into next year. The amount of missed appointments due to calendaring bugs goes off scale.
Two years pass.
-Here, here, we hear you. We fixed it! No there will be no DST at all!
(and just as the most of the issues with pervious decree were fixed and figured out).
I think they'll soon have a bright idea to reintroduce DST back. (And if I still will be administering my own systems... Murderous thoughts rising).

Actually, I hate the things, they are irritating, get caught on things I might carry, and some have a back plate that I am allergic to. Bought a very nice Swiss watch once; couldn't wear it because of the back plate. I gave it away to someone. Never wear them anymore. Haven't for about 15-20 years. And I just got finished resetting 9 clocks in my little apartment.

It's funny, as how many people don't want watches anymore, that Apple and the techno geeks are into this "smart watch" thing now. At least those should adjust themselves, I'd hope.
Let's hope all these new geeked-out cars with iPads mounted in the dash won't all stop when the time changes.
As Mr Scott said in Star Trek III, "The more they over-think the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain!"
