why not use a butter knife? Might be just as effective, definitely safer. Be sure your bag is packed for a long stretch in the psych ward.

Your sarcasm is unappreciated. And I don't plan on going to the pysch ward, if it isn't too terribly painful I'll just endure it and try to not to bleed to death or get an infection.

If you're going to do it, do it right outside the ER doors.

Otherwise, you will die.

And yes, they WILL put you in the psych ward.

Choice is yours.

My advice is don't do it.

If you think you're poor now, wait 'til you're sued for the bills.

Do you think that the government is secretly spying on me and are going to send the men in white coats to take me to the funny farm as soon I castrate myself? And I don't care if I die, so long as it's not very painful. Dieing is not my main goal but if I do die so be it.

I'm generally in agreement with the people who are discouraging you. However, no, the government isn't sitting around reading your messages here to send you to the psych ward, but what will likely happen if you pursue the path you're discussing and you'll likely end up with problems and massive bleeding which will do one of a few things to you. First, you could bleed out and die. The testicular artery is only 2 branches off the aorta (the main artery coming off the heart). It's incredibly difficult for your blood to clot then close up a wound that close to the heart without your losing so much blood you'll die first. Second, assuming you do survive that, then you're likely to have enough complications that you'll present at an ER somewhere, which will cause a psych evaluation, huge bills, etc. Your efforts to be economical and do it yourself, may actually end up costing you more than if you traveled to Michigan and saw the doctor there. I think he's charging less than $4000 for this service, and only requires informed consent to do it.

While the other comments here are a bit harsh, they certainly get to the immediate point - this is a phenomenally horrible idea. I'm a eunuch myself, and this is one of the least advisable things I've heard a person say in all my years on the EA. I'd like to welcome a new eunuch brother and know him for years to come, not hear that a new one died pretty much immediately after he became a eunuch.

I wanted this at your age, and I was poor just like you. Wait it out, it's better to regret having waited than to die trying to do it.

That's why I thought of heating the knife in the hopes of cauterizing the wound. And I doubt I'll bleed to death even if that doesn't work, before the advent of modern medicine they sawed people's arms and legs off and they didn't bleed to death. And thousands of people have castrated themselves or were castrated by others using very primitive and barbaric methods and they did not die. I think the dangers from self-castration are over-blown

And even if I had the money I wouldn't want a doctor to do it, I value my purity and dignity more than my pathetic, miserable life. Besides, my parents can't know about me becoming a eunuch, it would destroy them. Especially my dad, and I'm already having enough trouble with him.

And I can't wait any longer, not only am I tired of living this miserable life, I'm afraid that if I keep waiting some horrible calamity may befall me or my family and I won't be able to enjoy being a eunuch. Even if I die soon after in the attempt I want to die happy, rather than wait for everything to come tumbling down and I end up dieing miserable. And I feel calamities might be soon at hand.

There was a mental patient that nullified him self with scissors, and he did not bleed to death. I've saw the PDF some place on the web.
