I have suffered from prostate problems for years. Anyone who has had this knows how painful and debilitating it can be.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate – BPH) is one of the most common medical problems suffered by men. This is very interesting and worth investigating. I wonder how this would work with someone who is already castrated and on TRT.

I doubt it would have any effect. Since the treatment reduces excess T going from the testicles to the prostrate.

This treatment could be a great help to many intact men who don't yet have BPH but do have overactive prostrates.

It probably would reduce semen production resulting in less pressure and reduce the need to ejaculate frequently.

Could be a good alternative to castration when libido reduction is desired.

I am on TRT and definitely suffer from BPH, but am a little confused at this point. Based upon the article, I would think that anyone who is castrated and not on any TRT would then have zero issues with BPH. Is this true? And also, I am under the assumption that T production stops in the testicle, as a result of being on TRT? If my testicles are shutdown, and I lower my dosage of TRT, then could I expect my prostate to shrink?

Good Evening to all; This a great subject, and a little change here. This is about having your prostate removed thru surgery. Now that I am five months post surgery, and all is going O.K. This is where the doctors do not tell you some of the side effects that you will have and not everybody is the same. When they remove the prostate they disconnect everything to the twins.And they swelled up about two times there size for about two weeks and where VERY sore. About 2 1/2 months after surgery I started having night sweats, and some very good ones at that. I also started to SHRINK, Now 5 months after, Willy can be called a micropenis, it is so small. I was about 4 inches soft, before surgery, now it is almost inside, with a turtle neck. And the twins are pulled up inside. I have had one orgasm after surgery and it took a little work to get, and it was DRY. totttally. As for an erection that is impossible. My T-level before surgery was at 240, now that T level is at 194, which is great. As for the incontinence part. after surgery I was using 5 to 7 pads preday. Now I have to use one preday, and from that, after. I have read it takes about a year to hopefully get that under control. Yes things have changed, and I hope it will get better. I do have a question for some of the members out there, that have had this type of surgery, and how they have had some side effects after.
