It was a nullification story with a husband and a wife. He was out of a job and signed up for a tissue-engineering trial (nanobots or whatever) where they could removed and reconstruct his genitalia. The wife was totally into it. I think they gave him a couple modifications over the course of the story, but the final one was an enormous cock that lasted 4-5 days before sloughing off in the shower, leaving a smooth crotch behind. The story ended there, but it sounded like the author wanted to continue with more genital modification in future chapters.
