EA Email and TOS

Today we received a threat of action from a user's ISP for spam, and also a warning from our own host about it.

All this hassle over a simple EA birthday greeting.

Part of VB, and of many other forums out there as well, send birthday greetings and Admin emails to members.

This is part of the TOS of EA, and something that each and every member who registers at EA agrees to when he/she/it registers to use VB here.

Since this seems to be such a problem, we (or rather, I) will be taking the following actions:

1. Any user complaining about Admin email to said user will be banned, along with his entire area/ISP

2. Greetings and various other EA email functions will be shut off...as soon as we find it.

3. Important email messages, which don't happen very often, will continue. If you don't like it, LEAVE. I will happy to terminate your account here.

4. Also, any new potential member reading this, before you sign up, read the TOS please.

Simply email me at [email protected] and I will happily solve your email issues with us.

If you already use an email ending in '@eunuch.org' , go take out another one with Hotmail or Hushmail or something.
