. I have been complaining to my PCP about pain in my testes and he said it was an inflammation of my cord and he gave me antibiotics, that did not help.
Fast forward 8 months, I talked to my VA PCP and at least she did a physical exam, and told me she would make a referral to a VA urologist. That never happened!
I had a routine follow up with my endro Doc and he felt them and commented that they very hard and to see my urologist. I happened to have an appointment with him the very next day.
He too said they were very hard and sent me for an ultrasound. That showed an area in each testicle that had no blood flow. Then he sent me for a CT Scan and that showed the same thing.
All this time they were hurting so bad that I could not even stand or sit for even 15 minutes at a time.
So back to the urologist. He said he wanted to do a biopsy, but he could not do it through the scrotum because that would contaminate the test. The only way he could do it was through an incision in my groin. I knew that entailed removing it ( them ) , taking his sample and replacing them in my sack.
I told him that I was well past the age of wanting children, that I had a vasectomy years ago, and that I was already taking testosterone shots, so just remove them. He agreed, and on Dec. 23rd he did the deed.
He called me today and asked how I was doing. I told him I had a lot of swelling in my scrotum and at the tissue surrounding my penis
I have an appointment to see him on the 7 th to have the staples removed. He said there was no cancer but a lot of
necropsy in each one. He said he was thankful that we decided to remove them before they turned to gangrene .
So all I have to do is recover from the pain from surgery. It feels like I got stomped in the nuts by a guy wearing steel combat boots.
So I will recover from this pain and then figure how to get him to finish the job by removing the scrotum.
