Hi,
I would like to know how chemical castration works ? as what medicine you have to take (how many time per week), and what are their effects on your body.
Have you still sexual desire when you take the medicine or all desires disappear ?
What are the effects on your body compare to surgical castration ? and how long can you take the medicine ?
Thank you,
Alexis

There is a fantastic sticky at the top of this forum. That should give you a good idea.

Thank you modernist, your thread is very helpful !
However, I was wondering if someone can explain me the different steps of the modification on your body during the chemical castration (first month, and after)
And if someone experimented chemical castration ,and after, the surgical castration, what was the difference for your body (except the physical aspect) ?
Thank you again !

There is not any difference between Chemical or Surgical castration, but over the short haul chemical you may be able to recover testicle function, but maybe not fertility depending on time spent chemically castrated. The time for non-reversal varies greatly person to person.
Femization will happen in either case, and again varies greatly unless anti-estrogen's are used. You should know within a few months if you will need to take some form of HRT, which is the reason to try chemical castration before being surgical castrated.

More question:
How fast would chemical castration begin. Is there only the penis affected (numb) or the libido? Could you masturbate if the testosterone effectly reduced and how would the penis shrunk?
The testicles will shutdown. If you use estrogen to compensate the castrated status would athrophy the testicles faster? How fast could recover the testicles, would they reach the level of pre-castration before they are really athrophied?

At least a month. Hormones work slowly.

Both, penis can be probably numb due to reduced blood flow. Libido will probably be lowered. Both parts are of the YMMV kind.

You can. The questions should be: would you want it. And how to do it.

Don't know. But adding estrogen can increase sex drive.
The size or the function? The size, don't know. The function - count on about the same time you were on chemical castration. If it was longer than, say 6 months, this has all possibilities of becoming permanent. You can probably permanently lower libido/fertility after trying chemical castration.
Both recovery and permanence, and results are again a YMMV kind.

have been on androcur for three months on low doses only for diminish libido. And yes It works for that propose In low doses. But Libido still exists and erections didn´t disappear.
I´ve just injected me losovu (5mg estradiol/25mgmedroxyprogesterone) Hoping that helps stopping erections . I´ve heard that estrogens could rise libido but only in a "female kind" Even for MtoF transgenders some endos only use estrogens both for lowering T and for feminization without any antiandrogen or T-blocker . I´ve applied that injection only as a trial. If It works I will consider staying monthly.
