That was the only movie I showed my Nieces and Nephews when they were children that sparked a 15 minute, unconsolable crying event from one niece.
ONLY MOVIE!

Yea, I seem to remember seeing it with my kids, years and years ago. Comedy as I remember or maybe it was comments made by my kids.

The Last Unicorn - -
I remember being bored out of my mind and the two girls were just intently watching it with a dozen rubbery pastel colored toys all over the floor and the two boys giggling to the evil-eye stares of my Mother and Aunt.
We hit the end and the head unicorn didn't die and the other unicorns danced and one of my nieces was so thrilled she burst out in tears and cried for 15 minutes.
I couldn't laugh. They would have never forgiven me.
A number of years later, we're sitting in the Kevin Costner film - ROBIN HOOD, PRINCE OF THIEVES - In it, Alan Rickman played the Sheriff of Nottingham and at the end because a witch tells him to mate with Maid Marion, I'm sitting in the theater with four kids watching Alan Rickman as the Evil Sheriff trying to rape Maid Marion in a ten or seemingly endless minutes of running around with his pants halfway down trying not to die from a stab wound and Maid Marion screaming "rape" with a bloody knife. This was supposed to be a children's acceptable movie.
In a really snide stage whisper, I say "is he dead yet?" and fifteen mother's heads whip around giving me the evil eye and desiring my death as 30 or 40 kids chuckle and giggle.
There was no way I could hide. Not a chance. Everyone knew who was the smart ass in the theater.
