wavy, straight, curly hair?

Is it me or does the media promote excessively straight hair? It seems to be the holy grail to maintain straight hair without requiring too much mantanence. (They called me a sheepdog the other day)

And frankly I've tried, tried so hard to achieve awesome levels of straightness but heck who Am I kidding. Hair is super curly.

(Super jewfro). I once blowdried my hair and it resembled foxy Cleopatra from Austin power's gold member lmao.

Yeah I give up on straightening it. Pour some coconut oil after an exfoliating shampoo and voilá. Enough tampering with my hair.

(Coconut oil does wonders against frizz, I hear good things about Argan oil too)

I know just what your talking about, I have the same problem with my hair. Today I did my usual, buzz cut the whole thing, of course just round the edge I am bald everywhere else.

Mine varies with the weather but for the most part I do try to keep it straight as much as possible. One thing I've learned is too go ahead and use plenty of conditioner. You cannot use too much of that. Most beauty tips for the hair are made for people with blonde, straight and thin hair. Mine still remains thick and naturally curly to this day. (It used to be shoe shine black with red strands and much of it still is.)

The reason I made this post was BC for first time evers this foxy is letting her hair grow long.

ZOMG , OK the bad news is I'm in the weird phase where its long but looks mangy , bristled , and the curls don't help with my looks either.

I'm doing my best to keep hair nice and healthy.Argan oil, coconut oil plus I have this nice exfoliating shampoo (organic) that allows for stronger roots( aveda revitalizer), I do think I'm gonna add nizoral into the equation now that hair will weigh a bit more.

My hopes are to say goodbye to that weird inbetweener long hair phase and finally have it reach my shoulders. I'm kinda excited how it will look if done properly BC I keep getting compliments to stick with my hair undyed. The white hair patch looks cool apparently.

In a few more yrs it'll resemble some folk that possess the condition known as piebaldism

Kind of but a lot less so than say ten years ago. Young women do still pay for perms and once in a while you'll see a girl out during the day with rollers in.

If you get some length in it it will flatten out a lot. Plus there's what I said about hormones changing the texture :)

I've been on testosterone injections for two years now (post-castration) and can say it definitely made my head hair courser and curlier. Also got more hair on my chest, back and legs.

Women out with rollers in? oh the shame of it all. LOL I did not know that women still did that. Most gals I see today either have hair as short as it can be or tied back in a bun of sorts. Of course it might be where I live.

I still haven't figured out my mess of frizzy demi-curls, so I just tie it back in a ponytail and give up for the day. Every time I've worn my hair down I've gotten stared at for some reason. Maybe it's obvious that I don't know what the hell I'm doing and thus it doesn't look feminine for some reason?

Besides using coconut oil (olive oil works too) use your collected rainwater. (Rainwater is also very good for rinsing clothes.)
