Just another place to let users know that the Archive has it's own customized chat room software, based on the freeware Bersirc IRC client.

It will work on all Windows 95 or later versions of Windows, and come preconfigured to conect to the Archive chat room.

All you have to do is supply the nickname

Does mIRC work for connecting to the chat? If so, what's the server hostname and channel name?

Yes, mirc works well. As for the hostname, it been posted soooo many times I cant even remember it any more. We posted it, we posted it, and we posted it.

The server address has been posted since the IRC server was installed. Look on the Archive Chat Room (http://www.eunuch.org/chat/index.php) Page for the information you are looking for.
