Thank you moderators

Every once in a while I will read about some tempest where someone posts something or does something and there is a storm of posts dumping on that person. As best I can tell, often I see nothing wrong with that person. What I do see wrong is that in the blizzard of posts, there are a lot from low rent, uneducated, immature, bigoted and sexist people. Stupid assholes for short who have given me a better appreciation for the state of the human race. I don't see that here, although I doubt the EA is immune to such people, and I am sure it is only because of the work of the moderators. I want to thank them for making this a more or less pleasant site for reading posts.

I am not a moderator (at least not yet), but I also want to thank the "Inner Circle" of folks who run the EA. Good job.

Personally, I have a low tolerance for jerks and low lifes who can all go take a hike! Other than that - have a nice day!

Thank you, we tend to see this people quick and eliminate them even quicker.

A few years ago one person asked why we got rid of a person after only a few posts. The answer is simple, the moderators have been doing this for over 15 years in that time we have seen and herd it all, we can spot that person usually on the first post.

I have been around for some time back in the old days.

I am most appreciative of all the work the moderators have done over all the years.

They do a fantastic job.

Well done to all.:)

Who is in charge at EA now that you are out of the mainstream of activity?

Basically, we have a board that oversees things. Talula, me, Jesus, Paolo, Uncle Flo, Riverwind, Cainanite, and whoever else happens to be sitting there when we convene, usually at the MoM or by email when the need arises. Talula handles the technical stuff, and I handle the financial/administrative stuff. We would welcome others to participate and lend a hand. We need technical help for sure - it is a heavy load on Talula. We need editorial help with stories as well - I am just learning that system so we can bring in more help.

While I haven't been a member very long, I have been a reader for a number of years. I've found nearly all posts to be very polite, but I'm sure I've missed some that were not. Perhaps some of it is due to the nature of the people who gravitate toward this site.

I read some other forums that deal with completely different subject material and often see what I would call rude and snide comment posts.

We generally will not allow mean, rude, or offensive posting - and it is rare that anyone even tries to do so. People here tend to be pretty supportive.
