Today was an event, a most wonderful and delightful event. Something so fantastic that it cannot truly be put into words.
Today, we assembled with a small group of friends and family. My roommate Gemm and I were invited and we were most honored to go. The day was sunny and the temperature balmy. A marvelous day for a marvelous thing to happen.
Today, we assembled, at a church in St. Paul, all the well-wishers and witnesses, the great looking couple, and the officials garbed in white and green robes. The church ornate yet simple. A great spot for what was about to happen.
Today, we assembled, at a church, where was married a couple who were made for each other. Who's love and affection radiate like heat and joy to others nearby. A couple whom seemed to instinctively know that the future had only just started for them.
Today, we assembled, at a church, where was married one of our own. One who has persevered through obscenely difficult physical, mental, and emotional hardships/challenges. One who has somehow maintained her life with constant nagging pain. One who given up much to be who she is. And in the face of this, she still manages to smile.
Today, we assembled, at a church, where was married a hero we should look to by example. By over coming all odds and to fall in love then come to this place, to offer the vows of love and affection she has set a precedent that demonstrates patience and endurance will win in the end! I cried during the service at this realization and burst at the seams with joy for the couple and pride for the bride.
Today, we assembled, at a church, where was married our very own Danya and her beloved. I am not just proud of her, I am enormously fucking proud of her!
Danya, like I said at the church, "You rock gal!"
