I am truly mad

Long time lurker, only second time posting on here. Thanks for everything all of you have taught me.

---------

Please DO NOT ATTEMPT anything that I have mentioned in this post.

Last night at about 1 AM in a fit of rage and insanity I decided to castrate myself. I had already been preparing this elaborate plan as to how I would do this for over a month. It didn't involve simply using a butchers knife and running to the hospital afterwards, I had prepared scalpels, hemostats, sutures, a local anesthetic and a lot of bandages and dressings for this attempt. I applied the local anesthetic to my scrotum and spermatic cord. After applying the hemostats to the cord I cut off the testicle with the scalpel and threw it down the toilet to prevent a potential re-attachment. Unfortunately I couldn't properly ligate all of the vessels in the cord due to the fact that I hadn't opened the tunica and removed the fascia material, because of that, I had to go to the emergency room, where I was rushed into surgery immediately. It is now 8 hours after my surgery and I just found out that my other testicle has also been removed due to damage from ethanol / calcium injections.

Please us my experience as an example as to why you should NEVER attempt a surgical procedure on yourself.

Regardless, I am pretty happy at the moment, knowing that I am now fully castrated. However I may still have to visit the psychiatric ward.

Please excuse any bad English or typing mistakes, I am typing this off of my phone.

OMG! I'm praying for you that everything turns out all right. I too, have attempted castration in the past, but used less drastic methods. However, I was finally able to find a rogue urologist who agreed with my need for castration - and he made a mess of my scrotum, and almost killed another patient a few months later. Our community needs to have their needs taken seriously so that no one has to go through what you and I have. God bless and Godspeed towards an uneventful recovery.

Glad to hear you made it to the ER.

Hope you're not too miserable and heal up fast.

Thank you for your warning to others not to attempt the same.

Wow! You got a bit further than I did. I daresay the enormity of what you have done will amaze you in weeks to come. I know that for me, the 6 hours I spent hacking away at my scrotum amaze me now and I can't look at the pictures or video I took.

The level of desperation is frightening that we can go so far.

I wish you well and speedy recovery.

Thank God you are alive!

Thanks for all of your support. I was released from the hospital after a 24 hour stay. So far I have little to no pain and no signs of an infection. The last 48 hours have really been like a roller coaster ride.

I'm not sure how I even made it through my scrotum, and how I was able to cut off my testicle is a mystery to me. The home-made anaesthetic I used were non-perscription ear drops 🤫. I guess they were effective enough to dull the pain or it must have been the adrenaline rush I was under when I started to cut my scrotum.

What kind of local anæsthetic did you use?

That says it all. We need to stop the madness and get the medical community to recognise that voluntary castration is sometimes the only viable solution!

Adrenalin does amazing things, but it does not last long enough to let you finish the job... sigh. The hot flashes will take getting used to, but they will calm down eventually. Beware of weight gain. You will also lose most of your body hair, but not your beard, although it will not grow so strongly. In 2-3 years your body will adapt and the shrinkage will stop - leaving you more like you were before you began puberty. This is assuming no HRT of course. Right now, I would be more concerned about how to pay the medical bill$ that will result from this - that could be more of a problem than being castrated!!!!

Benzocaine is a fucking miracle. I speak from experience, though it was Orajel I have had opportunity to try.

I strongly suggest never letting yourself get a cavity, though my problems were through no fault of my own. If it feels anything like what I spent a couple months enjoying, it's an existential hell of your own making. Other gum injuries are an existential hell, but you can't be blamed for your own misery.

On the other hand, I'm a firm believer in local anesthetics now.
